Graze Box #2

Hello everyone!! I decided that I would start making this a "thing" on my blog, showing you what I got in my Graze box each week. This week was great, I received lots of yummy treats and if I'm honest this weeks box has been my favourite out of the ones I have received since I subscribed. This is my actually my 5th box but my second that I have showed you so I hope you enjoy seeing what I received.

I received;

Dark Rocky Road - This was a lovely little box filled with dark chocolate buttons, cranberries and pecan nuts. I don't particularly like cranberries but the rest of the pot was lovely.

Brownie - I have been waiting for this to pop up in my box for ages and it was simply delicious. Inside was three small little brownies and they were to die for.

Popping Corn, Twist of Black Pepper - This popcorn wasn't something that I would normally have tried if I didn't receive it in my box, I only ever like sweet but this was good.

Applewood Smoked Beef Jerky - I love beef jerky and this was lovely!! The tomato relish that came along with it was super good and tasted really good when I dipped the jerky in it.

Overall this weeks box was delicious and nothing was a disappointment. Hope you enjoyed this post!!

Liebster Award #2

Hello everyone!! I was recently nominated for the Liebster Award for the second time by the lovely Holly from littlemisswheely, thank you so much Holly and I hope everyone goes and checks out her blog. This is a great way for blogs under 200 followers to gain some recognition and meet some new people along the way.

Holly's questions;

1. Who is your favourite author?
I really like J.K Rowling, Catherine McPhail, John Green and I have a few others but those are the main ones I guess.

2. What was the first make-up product you ever bought?
It was probably some cheap little lip gloss or nail polish as a child. I think my first proper purchase was a miss sporty nail polish.

3. If you could only listen to one CD for the rest of your life, what would it be?
The 1975's album for sure

4. Who is your favourite YouTuber?
Oh I have lots!!! Zoe, Louise, Tanya, Jim, Joe Sugg, Alfie, Ingrid, Fleur, Lindsey (beautybaby44) are just a few that I really like watching.

5. What was your favourite holiday?
Favourite holiday as in like Christmas and things would probably be Halloween because I love dressing up and having parties but if you mean holidays as in going on holiday it would be when I went to Florida for the first time in 2005. It was truly magical and was the most amazing time in my life.

6. What was/is your favourite subject at school?
Drama, I love acting and hopefully one day pursue it as a career although I don't particularly like my teacher but I love the subject.

7. What is your fashion staple?
Skinny jeans are probably the only thing I wear but I love them. I practically live in them (well when I'm not wearing my pyjamas)

8. What make-up item can't you leave the house without?
Lip Balm or mascara, they are a must!!!

9. What are your opinions on TV talent shows?
I really love watching the auditions and really like watching the shows although I do think most of the time they are a fix and the winners never really get anywhere compared to the runners up so its a bit of a waste of time. I still watch them every year even though I complain about them each week.

10. In three words, describe your personality.
Awesome, crazy, ambitious

11. Do you like to stick to trends or experiment with make-up/fashion?
I do neither really, I tend to just stick to the same things and never really branch out. I like to stay with simple makeup looks and my fashion sense is pretty standard.

My Questions;

1. Who is your favourite Disney character?
2. What is one quote you live by?
3. If you went on Come Dine with Me, what would be on your menu?
4. What is your favourite genre of music?
5. Who is your celebrity crush?
6. Name 5 of your favourite songs?
7. Are you a cat or dog type of person?
8. What is your favourite perfume?
9. Have you ever met any celebrities? If so who?
10. Favourite nail polish brand & colour from that brand?
11. What is your favourite city and why?

My nominations;

Hope you enjoyed this post & thanks again to Holly for nominating me.

Motivational Quote #2

(photo from pinterest)

Hello everyone!! Monday is the most depressing time of the week simply because everyone returns to work/school after a lovely weekend. Today I thought I would share a little motivational quote to help make Monday a little better. This quote speaks for itself really but if you think happy and positive thoughts you will live a happy life, sometimes I find I think negative thoughts then I'm not exactly happy which isn't the best. So today think happy thoughts and your day will be brighter than ever.

I hope you have a lovely day!!

Sunday Post #5

Hello everyone!! How has your week been? Mine has been pretty standard with nothing too exciting apart from this weekend really. For the most part of the week other than school all I have really done is studied for my prelims coming up soon or going over my monologue and trying to pick a song for my audition.
I have decided to pick a speech from Henry IV, Lady Percy's monologue in Act 2 scene 3 and I have four songs my Music teacher picked for me to choose. I'm getting really nervous about it because its only really 2 and a half weeks away so not long.

On Friday night I went to the theatre to see West Side Story which I had been wanting to see for some time now so I booked some last minute tickets after I came home from school on Friday afternoon. The seats weren't the greatest but they were only £15 for a ticket which was pretty good. The show was fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of going to see it. It's a musical set in an upper side neighbourhood in New York City in the mid-1950s based around two rival gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. Everything about the show was great and I had been researching most of the songs for my audition as I was thinking of singing something from the show. The dancing in it was amazing and I truly wished I continued with ballet but sadly I quit when I was younger. It was truly the best thing about my week and wish I could see it all over again.

Sunday's are normally very lazy and we don't really do anything apart from go to my Gran's for Sunday lunch but today we took my little cousins to the oldest house in Glasgow, the Provand's Lordship. I have been many times before but I always like visiting as the gardens outside are always so pretty to look at. It was built in 1471 and is filled with lots of lovely paintings as well as information about the house itself. Its now a museum and only takes about 15-20 minutes to look around but its always nice to visit if you do ever visit Glasgow. The gardens outside have lovely herbs growing and a beautiful wishing well and some sort of bench things which are nice to sit on and watch the world go by. It was a particularly nice day today so we didn't stay for long but it was a nice way to spend most of my Sunday and next week we are going to visit the Kelvingrove Art galleries which was where we were going to visit today but the weather changed our minds.

I hope you had a lovely Sunday!!

Graze Box..

Hello everyone!! Today I thought I would show off what I got in my Graze box, which is a boxed subscription for a very low price which is filled with lots of yummy treats. I'll leave my code below so you are able to get your first box free and I will get £1 off my next box which would be great.

Apple Crumble - This little box contained dried apple, raisins & cinnamon  honey almonds, I really like this. the apple was lovely and really chewy but nice. The almonds tasted delicious and the raisins were okay. Overall I really enjoyed this.

Mango Chutney with Black Pepper Dippers - I really enjoyed this, the little dippers were really nice although the black pepper was a bit overpowering and the chutney was really good.

Summer Pudding -I didn't like the dried blackcurrants or cranberries in this but the yogurt seeds were really tasty and something a little bit different.

Marvellous Macaroon - I loved this, I had this for a little snack on my way to school this morning and it was lovely. I liked the almond slices and amaretti drops. I would probably like this in my box again as I normally wouldn't have ate this but I'm so glad I did.

I hope you take a little look over on the Graze box website and try a box for yourself even if its just the free one by using my code ; KATELY61B as its one of my favorite subscription services as you get to try things you wouldn't normally and it encourages you to eat a lot more healthier. I hope you enjoyed this post today and have a lovely day!!

100 Bloglovin Followers

(picture from pinterest)

Hello everyone!! I received an email earlier today saying I that my blog has reached 100 bloglovin followers which is a great achievement and I can't thank my followers enough. Ever since I changed my blog name I have gained a lot more followers which I'm extremely happy about as at first I didn't think it would make a difference but it sure has. When I first starting blogging I didn't really ever imagine having 100 people reading my blog and I'm so grateful that you do read it. By achieving this it has given me the motivation to keep blogging as its such an amazing community to be part of and I'm happy that people take time out of their day to read my posts. I'm glad I decided to blog a lot more over the last few months because it gives me a way to connect with people all over the world and do something I really enjoy. If you are thinking of starting a blog or have just started keep going because when you hit milestones like this you realise what you are doing will make you happy.

Thank you once again and I hope you all had/have a lovely day.

Sunday Post #4

Hello everyone!! Sorry for the late post today but I haven't really had much time lately to blog but its better late than never I suppose.

This week as most of you know it was my gran's birthday this week as I wrote a post about it, we went out for dinner on Friday to a local Chinese restaurant and it was delicious. I normally don't like Chinese food very much but I had orange chicken which I had never tried and it was amazing!! I also had an old favourite which was a banana fritter which syrup which was awesome aswell. Overall it was a great meal and will most certainly be going back, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures so don't have any to show you.

I also received an email this week from Edinburgh Napier University inviting me to an audition for Acting and English which I am over the moon about. I never in a million years thought I would get an audition for there but its made me more determined to ace it. The audition seems really long as its split into four parts, shakespeare monologue (which is fine), sing a song from musical theatre (I can't really sing and the course has nothing to do with singing therefore there is no need for this part of the audition), perform a monologue written by myself (I already have one wrote up) and lastly participate in a workshop with others who are also auditioning. My friend also has an audition the same day which is great because even though I'm totally fine with meeting new people sometimes its good to have someone you know there aswell. The audition is the 15th of Feburaury which isn't too far away but my English teacher has kindly offered to be my "acting coach" because my drama teacher is terrible so hopefully by the time my audition comes along I'm be amazing and they will not even dream of not giving me a place.

Tomorrow I am hopefully going to upload my graze box review type post because I have been putting it off all weekend because I've had way too much homework. I'm also thinking of maybe taking a trip to the theatre tomorrow night to see West Side Story which I have been wanting to see for some time now, I just have to book tickets.

I hope you all have a lovely week!!

Motivational Quote #1

Hello everyone!! I thought I would share a little motivational quote to help you start your day in a positive way. I always feel like I'm very negative about everything but lately I have been trying to be very positive in order to always be happy. I was so sure that I wouldn't get an interviews or any offers from university but I told myself to be positive and I will and guess what I did. On Wednesday night, I received an email inviting me to an audition for Acting and English at Edinburgh Napier University, I can't believe it. I'm so excited but the only thing is I have to sing which is something that definitely is not my strongest point but I'm just going to say positive and hopefully they may offer me a place to study there.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

Happy Birthday Gran

Hello everyone!! Today is my Gran's 75th birthday and it just wouldn't be right if I didn't write a post about her. She is my favourite person in the world, shes my best friend. Ever since I was younger I have always been close to her, we share a bond that is so strong. I'm her tinkerbell and shes my idol. I don't know what I would do without her if I'm honest, she makes my days worth living. My gran is the strongest person I know, shes put up with so much and been through a lot but she still puts a smile on her face and mine. If I didn't have my gran I don't actually know where I would be, she supports me so much and always tells me she is proud of me. Last night I got an email saying I have an audition for Edinburgh Napier university and she was more excited than me, shes the person that I want to achieve my dreams for. I want to do her proud by following my dreams. I love my gran and she deserves the very best.

Happy birthday Gran!! I love you very much

Sunday Post .. #3

Hello everyone!! I'm really enjoying doing a post every Sunday, it lets me reflect on what has happened this week. This week I started back at school after the Christmas break, I hate going back after a holiday.
It was also my uncle's funeral on Tuesday, it was a really sad day but the service was really nice and the minister who done the service is my school minister and he tried to put a little bit of humour and happiness into what he was saying about my uncle which was nice. It was the first funeral I had ever been to and didn't really know what to expect, I didn't think I would of cried as much as I did.

I mentioned in my last post that I would do a post on Graze, which is a little box you pay for and it comes through your door filled with healthy little snacks. I accidentally ate some things out of it before I took pictures so I'll hopefully remember next friday when I get my box to take pictures before I open it. The snacks are really good and you can choose what you would like in each box. This week I received Jaffa cake flapjacks - these tasted exactly like a chocolate orange and they were delicious, Cookies and cream - this contained mini cookies, hazelnuts, white chocolate buttons and sunflower seeds, this was really nice aswell, Korai Chutney - this was interesting, it was little curry bites and chutney, not too sure if I enjoyed it or not and lastly I received BBQ pistachios - I really enjoyed the flavouring of these. I also have a little code which will let you get your 1st, 5th and 10th box free - the code is KATELY618.

I also discovered a new show called Orange is the New Black which is a netflix original show and I love it. I watched Ingrid or missglamorazzi's video on her favourites from 2013 and she mentioned this show so I decided to check it out, I'm only on the 3rd episode but so far I'm really enjoying it. I must say though it does involve mature content so do bear that in mind if you do choose to watch it. Its about a woman who has self surrendered into prison and follows her experiences during her sentence. If you do watch it please tell me what you think of it.

My gran's birthday is on thursday so hopefully we are doing something for it, I know her sister is coming up from London as a surprise for her which will be good. My mum is thinking of going for a meal and later in the week I'll have a post showing some pictures of it.

I hope you all had a lovely week and next week is just as good.

Lush Haul

Hello everyone!! At the very start of the boxing day sales I made a few cheeky purchases from Lush, a shop I never really buy from as I do think some products are a little overpriced for what you actually get. Anyway I got all my items for just under £20 which is great considering normally you get one or two items and it can sometimes be way over that.

Sea Spray - Is a hair mist which adds volume, body and hold to your hair.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel - A limited edition shower gel which a lot of the beauty community (bloggers & youtubers) rave about this product every year due to its sweet smell of candy floss and pear drops.

Snow Fairy Soap - This product is also limited edition and is exactly the same as the shower gel only its in soap form and is shaped like a fairy.

Melting Snowman - The melting snowman is a bath melt and smells very like mulled wine and smells like Christmas in a little bath melt

Cinders Bath Bomb - I bought Cinders simply because I played the evil stepmother in the school pantomime this year and thought buying the bath bomb was very appropriate, it smells like cinnamon with hints of orange.

Bombardino Bath Bomb - This smells delicious and the shape of it is so cute!!

None of Your Beeswax Lip Balm - This wasn't what I originally ordered but they sold out of what I wanted so they threw this in, it smells like lemons. I like it alot because it isn't sticky and makes my lips nice and soft.

Whoosh Temple Balm - This little balm is great if you need a boost of energy in the morning, I didn't actually think it would work but I've used it a few times now and its great.

I hope you enjoyed reading and if you bought anything during the Lush sale tell me below.

2014 Memory Jar

Hello everyone!! For my Sunday post today I thought I would show you a little DIY project I made the other day. Last year I saw a few people make memory jars and I loved the idea but never got around to making my own one so I decided I would do so this year. My sister bought the jar from ikea and wasn't using it so I kindly asked for it then I cut out numbers/letters from some out magazines and glued them to the jar. I cannot wait to start filling it up with my memories or just exciting things that happened during 2014 and at the end of the year I will try and do a blog post reflecting on the year using the memories in the jar. Its also nice to look back at in the future as sometimes memories can fade away or get stuffed to the back of your mind but this way it means these events will never be lost.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday as I'm off to the carnival then I'm going to either write up my Chemistry notes which I have been putting off for the majority of the time I've been off school. I know I promised myself to doing catch up posts on Sunday's but I thought today I would show you something a little different. I also have a lush haul post to put up this week aswell as a Graze box post showing you some yummy treats I got in the post this morning.

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year everyone!! I can't believe its 2014 already, 2013 really flew in. I have so much planned for 2014, New York, Prom, Belgium, Dolly Parton, moving to Inverness (hopefully) and so much more, I think this is really my year.

I have some new year resolutions that I want to share with you so here goes;

1. Lose some weight/get fit - I feel like everyone has the resolution and I had it last year aswell. I did work out a lot last year and I hope to continue this year so I can finally be happy with my body.

2. Take a lot more pictures - I feel as though I hardly ever use my DSLR so this year I really want to use it as much as possible.

3. Stress less - This year I really want to relax a little more rather than stressing over nothing, during exam time last year I lost it and really got myself into a state over exams when I didn't really have to. I'm going to try my hardest this year to not have any panic attacks or be stressed.

4. Do well in my exams - I really want to do well in my exams this year so I don't feel so terrible when my results come through. I want to achieve my dreams of going to university to study acting and in order to do just that I will have to pass my exams which hopefully I will do.

5. Adventure more - I feel as though I never go on adventures to new places so this year I'm going to. Even if its just to places around Scotland thats fine as long as I go to new places.

I hope you all enjoyed reading my new year resolutions and if you have made any yourself leave them below in the comments. I hope you all had a lovely new year and 2014 is full of exciting things for you!!
