Halloween Nail Ideas

Halloween is my favourite season and to get in the spirit I thought I would share some ideas on how you could spice up your nails for it. 

This one takes a little bit of time but the end result is so cute

Friendships

At the start of September I went on an outward bound course to Howtown as part of the Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award. During this experience I participated in difficult challenges and met some of the most incredible people. Before we went on the trip we were just strangers but clicked instantly and now we classify ourself as a family because of how close we are as a team. I've met some long life friends and its only been a few weeks since we met but we have stayed in contact and speak everyday, we also have to complete a community project so we meet up every week. Most of the friends I have made are through acting and projects like the Mark Scott award, I haven't known them long but they have changed my life since I've met them and I'm so grateful for that. Those I have known for a long time aren't the same as the ones I've only recently became close to.

Never Regret Something That Once Made You Smile

Earlier this year I fell out with a girl that I called my best friend for the last 5-6 years of my life simply because life with her wasn't as fun as it used to be and I began to get closer with other people (there is a lot more to the story than that but I'll just leave those parts out). Since then we have both wiped each other out of our lives but that doesn't stop me thinking of the good times I once shared with her.This quote sums up how I feel at this point in time, even though I'm not friends with her doesn't mean I want to forget the memories or the special times we shared as friends because they made me happy at the time and I should be looking back at them and remembering them just as if I do with any other memories that are stored in my brain. This quote speaks simply of the truth and if you ever think of something that once made you happy and regret begins surrounds your thoughts, stop and think because you shouldn't regret that it happened just because it doesn't make you happy any more doesn't mean it never did.

THE AUTUMN TAG

Over the last few months I have rather busy that my blog was abandoned, so to get back into the swing of things I'm going to do another tag because I really enjoy them and I seem to be good at them.

Over the last few days I have saw a lot of bloggers do the Autumn tag which I haven't a clue who started but since Autumn is my favourite season I thought I should do it.

THE AUTUMN TAG

Favourite thing about it?

My favourite thing about autumn is Halloween, I love it. Halloween has always been my favourite simply because I love getting dressed up and going to parties.

I also love the darker/colder nights and days and it means I get an excuse to wear cosy jumpers. It also means Starbucks bring back my favourite drinks.

Favourite drink?

Pumpkin spice latte or salted caramel hot chocolate from Starbucks or hot lemonade with honey.

Favourite scent/candle?

I love anything with cinnamon or spice :) I really like cinnamon sticks by Yankee Candle.

  Best lipstick?

I love any kind of dark pinks or berry coloured lipsticks. I like the Revlon lip butter in Berry Smoothie as its just the perfect colour.

Go to moisturiser?

My moisturiser tends to stay the same throughout the year as my skin doesn't really like the thought of change. I use the Liz Earle skin repair moisturiser.

 Go to colours for the eyes? 

I opt for golden browns and copper colours this time of the year :) I'm thinking I may add a little bit of purple eye liner to spice up my eyes this Autumn.

Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?

Lately I have been really loving One Republic & The 1975, these two bands are the most listened to on my iTunes.

Favourite outfit to wear?

I love wearing skater dresses, thick black tights and boots or big jumpers, jeans and boots with a chunky scarf to finish the look off.

Autumn treat?

This question confuses me because does it mean treat being food or something I want to buy myself. Food wise it would have to be monkey nuts or candy apples as they always remind me of my childhood days and going out trick or treating for Halloween. For something I want to buy myself would be a new coat as the one I've had since last year is looking so good any more as its slightly faded and way too big for me so I'll have to invest in a new one, oh and a new scarf.

Favourite place to be?

Curled up in my bed with my laptop on my knee and a cup of hot lemonade and honey in my hand :) I wish I had a tree house though so I could sit out in it with a blanket and enjoy the cooler temperatures of Autumn.

Would You Rather? TAG

Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I would have to say eyeliners as I don't really have many and do not use it very often so it wouldn't really be missed

Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Never be able to cut it again, I have rather long hair anyway and I hate getting it cut so this wouldn't be a problem for me. I think I would be lost without my hair.

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Probably would have to go with pink :) 

If you had £1000 to spend, Would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I think I would rather buy clothes because i'm forever needing more dresses or tshirts or whatever whereas makeup I probably have enough :) If I did have that kind of money just to spend on either of those I would half the money.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

hm both would be rather interesting but I would have to go with eyeliner as lipstick as it would just feel like a lipliner I guess. Nowadays you can get pretty much any shade of eyeliner so it wouldn't look that odd either.

Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

We don't have a Sephora in the UK so thats out of the question. But if we did it would probably be there because you can get pretty much anything in there from a wide range of brands whereas MAC you are very limited and I dont tend to shop at MAC very often anyway.

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

I've spend the last 5 minutes trying to work out an answer to this but if i'm honest I just can't.

I probably would go with one lip colour because theres so many things you could do with eyeshadow whereas lips you are very limited.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

In Scotland we don't really get a summer so I wear most of my winter clothes in the summer anyway so thats my answer.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright nails all year round for sure.

Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

My favourite eye product because I don't tend to use it that often.

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a pony tail or a messy bun?

Pony tail. Most of time I wear my hair in a pony anyway but there is so many things you can do to spice it up a little. Whereas a bun you run out of ideas.

Would your rather never being able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

Never use lipgloss. Painting my nails is one of my favourite things to do and I find myself rarely ever wearing lipgloss anyway.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? or sharpie them in everyday?

I wouldn't like to do either but I think I would just shave them off and have none.

Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Live without makeup, I have such an addiction to nail polish that I don't think I could live without it.

1.  Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?

It would have to be my eyebrows, I hardly ever remember to do them until when I'm out and look in a mirror I look at them and make a mental note in my head to pluck them that night but I always forget.

2.  Is washing your make-up brushes something that you do regularly?

I would love to say yes but I'm just so lazy that I can never be bothered cleaning them. I try my best at doing it at least once a week but I always forget or I just don't have the time. 

3.  How long will you last with chipped nail polish?

I hate the thought of chipped nail polish, as soon as I see a little chip in my nails I need to take it off. I would rather have none on than a little chip.

4.  How long will you put off buying/replacing a beauty product, even if you need it?

I never seem to run out of a beauty product that I need because I always find an alternative and if I can't find something to replace it in my collection I borrow it from my sister or there will bound to be something in the bathroom.

5.  What is your worst beauty habit? 

Mine would have to be squeezing spots, its something I just can't help. If I see a spot on my face I have to get rid of it, either by picking at it till it goes down or squeezing it. I know its bad for my skin but I just have to do it or it really annoys me.

6.  Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?

Homework!!!! I always leave homework till the very last minute and realise its not the best idea. Also studying, I have exams in less than 2 weeks and I just can't bring myself to pick up a revision book and study, I always find something more exciting for me to do than try get a good mark.

7.  When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready to the last minute?

Mostly yes because I always have to do something before I go get ready or I think I have lots of time and then realise I only have a short space of time and end up rushing. Although if its somewhere really important like a party or an event I spend a while trying to make myself somewhat perfect.

8.  Can you commit to spending bans?

Nope because I always find myself looking at things I do not need but badly want and just cave in and buy. I probably last a few days and then find myself at the boots counter paying for unnecessary items

9.  How organised is your make-up and nail polish collections?

My nail polish collection is organised pretty well, at Christmas I got some new racks to store my nail polish in and it works amazingly. My makeup however is not organised very well but I just don't have enough places to store it and I keep buying more which does not help

Harrods Haul

At the end of March I got a chance to go on a V.I.P trip to London which consisted of staying in the Mayfair hotel (wow it was luxury), chauffeur driven tour and many other things. One of the other things was a shopping spree around Harrods which is a massive department store filled with wonderful (expensive) items. Most of the items I got I may have never got the chance to buy if it wasn't included in the V.I.P trip.

I got 5 things, 4 of which are make-up items and the other is a bag which i will have a whole other blog post about.

`The first item I got was the Estee Lauder Pure Colour Sensuous Rouge Lipcolor in 08 Pink Seduction. (It looks less glossy than in the picture)

Next purchase I made was one of the YSL Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Balm Crystal Color in number 4 Grenade Suave.

Next is a product which I have been wanting to buy since they released and that is the Dior Addict Vibrant Colour Spectacular Shine in 461 Duchesse.

The last thing I bought was a Bobbi Brown Blush in 6 Apricot.
