The Dream Tag

This tag was floating around the internet a while ago and I have to be honest I have hit a bit of a “writers block” therefore I thought I would do another tag post. I enjoy answering questions and these are super easy to do when you have no time whatsoever. I have a show in less than two weeks so everything is a bit hectic at the moment but I wanted to put up a post anyway. I am a dreamer and always have been. I always find myself dreaming of the secret life I wish I had.

 

1. What are you currently day dreaming about?

Florida, I’m going back to my second home in July and I cannot wait. I’m dreaming of walking down Main Street, MK with a huge smile on my face, dreaming of meeting all the characters and having just a great time. I’m dreaming of being free and not having to worry or stress out because stress doesn’t exist in Disney World

2. What three items live in your dream wardrobe?

A pair of Christian Louboutin, I think they are every girls dream tbh. A white midi tutu skirt, something I probably couldn’t pull off even if I tried but I love them and they look so classy if paired with a nice top and heels. The last thing would be a Prada handbag, I just think they look so classy and have always wanted to own one.

3. Who's your dream celeb look-alike?

There isn’t really an celebs that I would love to look like if I’m completely honest.

4. In your eyes, who's currently "living the dream"?

I think those who are actors full time are living the dream whether that’s on stage or film or tv. I hope that one day I will be one of those people. Also those who are currently in a production on Broadway, that’s would just be amazing!!

5. What do you dream of more; love or money?

I get that money doesn’t buy you anything but it would solve a lot of my problems in life if I didn’t constantly have to worry about my finances. Love is something I guess everyone wants, myself included but these days money is an essential and you don’t get very far without it. I guess I would say I dream a lot more about money than I do love.

6. Your dream holiday escape?

Of course, Florida but I would love to go back to New York and explore everywhere I did not get a chance to. I love would love to do a road trip around America. I’m not one for wanting to go to places like the Caribbean or anything like that.

7. Who's your dream YouTuber collab?

I’m not a youtuber therefore I don’t have an answer for that but if I were I would love to collab with Miranda Sings.

8. Did your childhood dreams ever come true?

Yes they actually did, my ultimate dream was going to Disney and I got the chance in 2005 and my other dream I’m living just now. Acting full time was always a dream and its currently what I’m doing with my life.

9. If one of your dreams could come true right now, what would it be?  

To get into HND next year. It all depends on my show in two weeks and my graded unit so fingers crossed.

The Netflix Tag

Hello everyone!!

So it’s been over a month now since I last put up a blog post which I am feeling slightly annoyed at myself for not sticking to regularly uploading. It’s been a hectic last few weeks with auditions and rehearsals therefore blogging hasn't really been my top priority. Today I thought I would upload a tag that I have seen floating around lately which is the Netflix tag. I have gotten back into watching Netflix in the last week or so and thought this tag would be an appropriate post to upload.

 

All Time Favourites

I love Orange is the New Black. I have rewatched a handful of times and love it I really enjoy going back and watching the first two seasons of Skins (another of my favourite shows)

Current Addiction

I watched Ugly Betty while it was on TV but rekindled my love for it a week ago and cannot get enough of it. Reminds me a lot of the Devil Wears Prada, which is a film I like a lot.

Wishlist

I wish I could watch Saved by the Bell even though I have the full box set I sometimes cannot be bothered getting up to get the disks. If there was a section for 90s, TV programmes my life would be 10x better.

Net Peeve 

The US and Canadian versions are so much better than the UK version which irritates me as I do not find that very fair. Just because we are the UK doesn't mean we don’t deserve a wider variety. Another thing is how long it takes for a new episode/season to go up on Netflix, I feel as though I've been waiting years for the new season of Orange is the New Black.

Marathon Essentials

 A nice comfortable place to sit/lie, I like to watch Netflix on my bed with either my duvet or my cosy Primark blanket. Snacks are must whether they are healthy or not, I loving banana chips at the moment. Another key essential is time, you can’t settle down to watch a large amount of a show if you have something planned.

You Should Watch

For sure Orange is the New Black, I never get hooked to programmes but this one was an exception. There is nothing else I can really think of that I would really recommend.

The Fairytale Tag

Hello everyone!! I have seen the fairytale tag go about for a little while now and decided since I'm a huge Disney fan I would do it.

Snow White - Do you consider yourself beautiful?

I would say I'm far from it but maybe I shouldn’t put myself down like that haha.

Sleeping Beauty - How many hours do you sleep at night?

Depends on how tired I am!! I normally get around 6-8 hours per night sometimes less, sometimes more.

Cinderella - Do you have a curfew?

Nope. If I'm out I don't tend to say out that late anyway and normally I'm home before 3am. I am not one for saying out all night.

Rapunzel - Do you love being outside?

Yeah, I love being outdoors. There is so much more to see and do when you are outside. I love exploring and travelling so being inside is boring for me and I get fed up easily.

Red Riding Hood - Do you trust strangers easily?

No, I find it hard to trust people who are not strangers. I guess it’s due to growing up my parents were really strict on the whole don't talk to strangers thing.

The Wolf and the Seven Young Kids - Are you easily fooled?

Nah, its way too hard to fool me.

Beauty and the Beast - What makes someone beautiful in your eyes?

I think everyone is beautiful in his or her own way and for different reasons. No one is the same therefore there is not one type of beauty.

The Little Mermaid - What would you sacrifice for love?

If I loved someone that much I would pretty much sacrifice anything for them. Again, with the whole trust thing I would need to really love them and trust them 100% for me to give up something.

The Frog Prince - What do you find disgusting?

Disrespectful and selfish people really disgust me. 

Jack and the Beanstalk - Do you have any plants?

Not really, my dad has quite a few dotted around the house but plants are not really for me. They look pretty once they have bloomed but I don't really have the time to look after them

Puss in Boots - Do you have pets? If not, do you want them?

I have one dog, a Staffordshire bull terrier, Sasha who I LOVE to pieces!!! She is like my best friend and I honestly don’t know what I would do without her. My dad also has a lot of fish, one I was rather close with, Terry, but it died. I would love another dog either a French Bulldog or Pug or both.

Bluebeard - What is your weak point?

Trust. I find it so hard to trust people and I recently wrote an essay for my first semester at college about myself in outcome one and discussed my issues with trust. Being an actor, trust is something you have to have with not only who you are working with but the people you are presenting in front of. It can be sometimes hard to deal with because it puts a barrier in front of me making me not perform to my full potential.

Pinocchio - What is your biggest wish?

Of course many people wish to win the lottery and I'm one of them, a little extra cash would be lovely. I would also love to do a road trip around America and go back to Florida (one of my all time favourite places). I want to make my family proud by achieving my dreams of becoming a full time actor.

Peter Pan - What is your mental age?

I think it’s probably around 8. Most of the time I act like a child but I do know when to be serious. I LOVE having fun therefore acting like a child is completely fine by me just most people think I'm crazy!!

The Star Money - What is your most valuable possession?

My DSLR, it is my baby. I have such a passion for photography and love taking it with me on adventures to capture everything I see.

The Snow Queen - Who is your best friend and what would you do for him/her?

I would probably say my older sister (I may not be hers but I don't mind). She is one of the very few people who can make me laugh till I almost wet myself. I honestly don't know what I would do without her, despite our arguments we have such an amazing bond and I would do anything for them.

The Princess and the Pea - Are you sensitive?

I can be but I tend to hide behind a shield and just laugh things off.

Godfather Death - What qualities make a good parent?

As long as you are loving and patient you can be a good parent.

The Worn-Out Dancing Shoes - Do you like parties?

I like them to a certain extend, sometimes when I'm in the partying mood it can be fun but other times I just can't be bothered. Most parties get a lil boring if the music is rubbish or the atmosphere is not great.

The Emperor's New Clothes - Do you care a lot about your clothing?

Not really, fashion is not really my strongest point. Don't get me wrong I love looking at pretty outfits and wearing beautiful dresses but most of the time if I'm comfy then I'm all good to go.

The Brave Little Tailor - Do you consider yourself brave?

Yeah, I would say I am fearless! I have not ever found anything I'm scared of so yeah I would consider myself brave.

Autumn TAG!!

Hello everyone!!

Today I am going to be doing the Autumn Tag 2014 that I seen a few people do and  decided because I love tags & Autumn I would do it. As it is autumn and of course that is my favourite season I thought it would be appropriate to do an Autumn Tag. 

  1.    Ok, we are talking coffees – what is your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks? 

I love Pumpkin spice lattes; they are delicious and always make me feel so cosy. Every time I get it, I automatically have a smile on my face because it just makes me so happy. I also love the smell of it when I open the lid, it just screams AUTUMN!!!!

2.    Accessories – what do you opt for, scarf, boots, gloves.

As soon as it starts to get colder, I tend to start buying beanie hats. They are a staple for autumn/winter time, they make your head warm but some of them are awesome looking. I love the ones with a bobble at the end.

3.    Music – what is your favourite music to listen to during autumn?

My music taste does not really change throughout the year apart from Christmas time when I sing Christmas songs all day. Autumn time just calls for the same music I listen to all year round.

4.    Perfume – what’s your favourite scent for this time of year?

This is a hard one... I do not have any perfumes that smell of autumn scents but lately I have been loving Philosophy Living Grace. Even though it is a rather fresh scent and normally associated with summer, I have been wearing it a lot lately.

5.    Candles – what scents will you be burnings this season?

Anything with Cinnamon & Pumpkin in it is all I burn. When I was in NYC earlier in the year I picked up a couple of Bath and Body Works candles in Mahogany Teakwood and have saved them just for Autumn. 

6.    What do you love most about Autumn?

Crunchy leaves & Halloween are my favourite!!! I also love the colours (oranges, burgundy, purples etc), pumpkins, the changing of the leaves, baking things with cinnamon flavours. Oh, I just love everything about autumn.

7.    Favourite makeup look?

I love darker lips, like a berry colour. I really like using a lot warmer colours such as orange in my eye makeup as I think it just looks so pretty.

8.    What are you looking forward to most in autumn?

I am so looking forward to HALLOWEEN this year, even though I always do. I'm most excited about all the things I have planned to bake. When I was younger, we used to always carve pumpkins but as the years went on that tradition faded, so maybe this year I will carve one again.

The SUMMER Tag

Hello everyone!!  I'm sorry that for the last month or so my blog haven’t been filled with lots of posts but with exam time, NYC and other things which have been in the way it has been hard to upload and I really hope you all understand. I thought it would be a nice way to get back into the swing of things by posting a tag because you all know how much I love doing them. Hopefully soon I'll have some posts up from my New York trip and I also will have a blog post on my Prom so look forward to seeing them. 

I saw that the lovely Georgina from makeup-pixie has created another great tag. Over the last few weeks it has been rather warm and I decided that since its offically summer I can do a tag related to my favourite season!!

What's your favourite thing about Summer?

I love the fact that I don't need to worry about anything. I'm free to do whatever I like. I love how the days feel so much longer and it doesn't get dark that quick. Its also my birthday in the summer so that’s another thing that’s great.

Do you have a favourite Summer drink?

Strawberry lemonade or iced coffee/tea are my go to summer drinks. While in NYC I drank a lot of Strawberry lemonade to cool me down and its rather refreshing.

Is there a location you like to go to each Summer?

I love exploring the Scottish countryside as there is some lovely sights to see. Last year we found a lovely little spot just past Aberfoyle. It was such a great little find and it will be somewhere we will continuously go each year.

Favourite makeup look for Summer?

For summer I hardly wear any makeup, most of the time I tend to wear none. Its rather uncomfortable if its warm weather and I prefer to not wear any. On the odd occasion, if I wear makeup I still keep it to a minimal. Waterproof mascara is a must and a nice bold lipstick.

Dresses or skirts?

Dresses, I think they are just so easy to wear. Skirts do not really suit me and I don’t ever think they will. I’m not the hugest girly girl so seeing me in a dress is a rare sight but I do enjoy wearing them.

Sandals or ballet pumps?

In the summer I tend to wear mostly sandals or flip flops. I think my feet look odd when I wear ballet pumps so you will either see me in sandals or trainers most likely.

Do you prefer to wear your hair up or down for Summer?

About 90% of the year I wear my hair up because its such a hassle to wear it down. When its warm I hate wearing it down because it goes crazy and makes my neck sweaty so I put it up to keep it out the way.

Deep smokey eyes or bold lips?

I’m a bold lips kind of girl, wearing a bright lip just brightens my mood. I love wearing a bright pink on my lips, I feel it just screams SUMMER!!! I'm yet to try an orange lip and have actually made it my goal for this summer.

Favourite perfume for Summer?

I really like Game by Davidoff Cool Water and have done for some time now. It just smells really fresh and lasts all day which is perfect for summer.

Last but not least, favourite music for Summer?

Anything but slow songs are what I listen to during the summer. I like really upbeat/dance music when driving in the car, it just makes me so happy and especially when its up loud.

Hello everyone!! I've seen recently a bunch of people doing the “The Not Another Tag” and if you have read my blog for a while you will know I'm a girl who loves doing tags. You're making a new Subscription box, what 4 items & which dreaded perfume sample would you include in it? 

I would probably put in some fun nail polish colour maybe a neon pink one or something.I would put in some hand cream and maybe a lip balm because those are something everyone needs and for my last item, I would put in some sort of coffee flavoured chocolate because that combines two of my favourite things. For perfume I would probably go for Taylor Swift Wonderstruck, it smells nice and the bottle is pretty as well.

What's your biggest blogging bug bear? The one thing guaranteed to make your blood boil & have you screaming/eye rolling at your laptop?

I hate those people that follow you just so you will follow them back then if you do follow them they unfollow you. It annoys me when people comment on one of your posts saying “come check out my blog, I have a giveaway going on at the moment”

No more joining in Twitter chats only slightly relevant to your blog. You can only join in one blogger chat a week for the rest of your blogging days, which one's it gonna be & why? 

I don’t participate in the blogger chats and I know I should because they always look great and everyone says how much fun they are but I either miss them or just prefer watching.

'Fess up, do you actually own any MAC? If so what don't you like about the product? 

Yes I own one Mac lipstick in Cockney and it’s my favourite all time lipstick, its just such a pretty colour and love how it looks on my lips. I own a couple of Mac eye shadows, a blush from the Betty Bright collection (its so pretty) and Mac fix+.

The blogging Gods ban arm swatching, which body part will you swatch on now?

My cheeks, I think I would look amazing if I had a bunch of swatches on my cheeks.

You can no longer have Yankee Candles & Perfume Bottles in the background of your shots, what other inanimate object will you choose?

My clapper board to look as if I’m a movie or something like that.

Your blogs Instagram is it for cats or meal shots?

Meal shots, although I haven’t posted one in a while so I’ll have to go out for dinner shortly.

Sunday; Beauty Scenario Tag

Hello everyone!! I recently saw Eden from beautybyeden do the Beauty Scenario Tag and decided to do it aswell so here is my answers :

1. You have to get rid of all your foundations and you can only keep one high end and one drugstore, which do you keep?

I would keep Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and Rimmel match perfection

2. You go for an interview and the lady interviewing you has lipstick on her teeth. Do you approach the subject or ignore it completely?

I would probably leave it, I hate telling people things like that.

3. You're not feeling yourself and need a pick me up. Which lipstick do you put on to make yourself feel beautiful?

Mac Cockney. Its just so pretty!!

4. You go back in time for a day to your teenage years, how would you do your hair and makeup differently?

I'm still in my teenage years and when I was younger I never really wore makeup. I would probably wear my hair down a lot more because I always wore it in a ponytail.

5. You ask your hairdresser for a shoulder length Pixie Lott hair cut, but they hear wrong and give you a pixi cut. Do you a) Smile, say thank you, leave and call your mum hysterical b) Cry in the chair and things get awkward or c) Complain to the manager and demand a refund.

I'm the type of person that would definitely complain and demand a refund. 

6. Your friend surprises you with a 4 day city break and you have 1 hour to pack. Which 'do it all' palette do you pack in your makeup 

I would probably pack my Urban Decay naked basics palette. Its got all the colours I need and its pretty small so thats a plus side. 

7. Your house has been robbed, don't worry- everyone is safe, but your beauty stash has been raided. What's the product you really hope is safe?

My Mac Cockney lipstick

8. Your friend borrows your makeup and returns it in awful condition. Do you a) Just pretend you haven't noticed b) Ask them to repurchase it or c) Secretly do the same to something of theirs

This is a tough one because its a friend so I probably would just pretend I hadn't noticed

Spring Beauty Tag

Hello everyone!!

The lovely Zoe from beautypie created the Spring Beauty Tag and as Spring is nearly here I thought I would do it. I wasn't tagged but I decided to do it anyway. 

1. Do you change up your makeup when Spring arrives? If so, how?

I normally change to a lighter coverage foundation or use a BB cream or just concealer. I wear more coral shades of lipstick.

2. What's your favourite Spring fragrance?

I don't really change my perfume throughout the year.I just use my favourite Darling by Kylie Minogue.

3. What's going to be your favourite accessory this Spring?

Thin florally scarfs are probably what I'll be wearing this Spring

4. What's going to be your most worn item of clothing this Spring?

I'll be changing from my duffle coat to a lighter coat I think so I'll need to buy a nice one soon.

5. What are your Top 3 favourite Spring nail polishes?

It would have to be Models Own - Lilac Dream, Essie - Mint Candy Apple & Essie - Sweet Talker. 

6. Do you prefer pumps or sandals in Spring?

Pumps, its not warmer enough for sandals yet!!

7. What's your favourite Spring jacket?

Normally I just wear a jacket I got from New Look about 2 years ago as its nice and light but its a bit worn now so I'll have to buy a new one soon.
