Top Eight Things I love about Autumn!!

Hello everyone!!

Autumn is such a lovely time of the year. It is the time for relaxing after a summer full of fun and before the rush for Christmas. I have always loved autumn, ever since I can remember it has been my favourite season. The little things about autumn make it so special. There are so many things that I love about autumn and I thought that I would write a list of them.

1. Crunchy leaves
The sensation you feel when you are walking, you step on a leaf, and it crunches puts a huge smile on my face. I do not know why I love it so much but I do and it is rather sad because whenever I see a leaf I walk towards it just to hear the crunch.

2. Autumn colours
I love them. As soon as it hits autumn and the shops start filling with clothes coloured from orange to burgundy to brown, it makes me happy. They are not the brightest of colours but it does not matter because I love them. My favourite for this season is cobalt blue; it is a pretty colour all year round but especially in autumn.

3. Pumpkin spiced lattes from Starbucks.
It is literally autumn in a cup; it is the perfect drink to have in the colder days as it warms you up on the first sip. This drink is probably my all time favourite drink from starbucks.

4. Beanie hats
As I mentioned in my autumn tag I love them and as soon as autumn hits I venture out to buy a new one. I recently bought one from primark to add to my collection and it is rather cosy.

5. Halloween
It is my most favourite thing about autumn so it had to be included. There is something about Halloween that automatically makes me happy. My favourite thing to do in the autumn season is to chill on the sofa watching Halloween films. I went out at the weekend and spent a large amount of money on decorations but it is for Halloween so it is acceptable. I think what makes me love it so much is the dressing up part, I love putting on an act and being something/someone else which explains why I am acting student.

 6. Salted caramel
Whether it is salted caramel hot chocolates or salted caramel sauce, I love it. As soon as I hear that something has salted caramel flavouring I think of autumn. It’s such a weird combination of flavours that work so well together

7. Guy Fawkes Night
An annual celebration filled with bonfires and firework displays. I am not the hugest fan of fireworks as I think they are dangerous but I love the whole atmosphere that surrounds that night. Every year I go to one of my local parks with my friends and the rest of the city to watch the firework display and its great fun.

8. Dark lips
One of the only times that I can actually pull of dark lips and not look terrible is during autumn. I have been wearing them a lot recently and I just think they look great. My favourites of the moment are Makeup Revolution’s “Rebel with Cause” and the Revlon lip butter in “Red Velvet”.

Hope you enjoyed hearing what my top eight things about the autumn season are!

Sunday; Family, How Much They Mean To You... #2

Hello everyone!! I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas spending it with family or friends. This year was great for me I got truly spoiled which is always nice, my family always take Christmas a little too far with presents just to show everyone how much they love them.

Christmas this year was also different, my uncle had been battling cancer for a long time now and over the last month or two he had slowly been getting worse. Earlier in the year he was told there was nothing more they could do, they had tried everything. On the 20th December the doctors told my aunt that he wouldn't last the night but he fought hard. On Christmas eve we decided to visit him because my dad knew that this could be the last time we ever saw him. The doctors had set up a hospital bed for him in his home to make him more comfortable and because that's what he wanted. He was so pale and dead looking, he didn't look like the same man that I had seen just a week before, he wasn't awake but he could hear us. We were the last ones to see him alive, 5:25am on Christmas morning he passed away. I've never lost a family member before until now and its been a few days but I feel so lost, in 2011 I lost a friend that I had never met before.

Leah's death hit me hard, even though I had never met her she meant a lot to me, she was strong and suffered a long time (Leah's family set up "The Leah Wilby Foundation" in memory of her. The charity's aims was to buy a caravan and provide holiday accommodation in Great Yarmouth to families in the UK with young children who suffer from childhood cancer.) This time because its a family member it hit me harder, I couldn't stop crying when my mum told me, I felt like my heart had been ripped out. I never imagined I would ever write about this but I needed an outlet to write about how I feel but there isn't many words to describe my feelings. I've realised a lot this Christmas that family is extremely important and sometimes I take mine for granted because I don't understand how much they mean to me until someone is taken away. Knowing I saw my uncle before he passed means a lot because it means I got to say goodbye. If you're reading this I want you to take a moment to go and tell your family how much they mean to you before its too late.

Sorry for the slightly gloomy post today but I just had to let some of my feelings out because I feel like I can't speak about them or I'll just burst into tears but I hope you all have a lovely day and think about what your family really means to you.

Ten Things I Love About Christmas

Hello everyone, today I thought I would tell you ten things I like about Christmas!!

1. Buying presents -  I love buying people presents, it makes me feel happy knowing I am buying a gift for someone else that they will really appreciate. I love the excitement of going into a shop or seeing someone online for someone.

2. Christmas Markets - They are the best thing ever, I love walking round all the stalls and eating  yummy treats or buying cute little things. Every year I look forward to going to the one in town and each year it gets better and better. I would love to go to one in like Germany.

3. Decorating my house - I love putting up my Christmas tree and decorating my room, it gets me really excited about Christmas and can be lots of fun.

4. Christmas Music - I love Christmas songs, theres just something about them that excites me. I just posted my favourite Christmas songs so go check it out.

5. Gran's Christmas Dinner - We have Sunday lunch every week but at Christmas its that little bit better. She goes all out with her home cooking and its just wonderful.

6. Wrapping Presents - People always seem to hate wrapping presents but I'm the opposite, I love doing it. My favourite thing about it is adding those finishing touches with little bows or ribbon and cute little tags.

7. Watching Christmas films - The excitement of putting on a Christmas film or watching one on TV in the weeks running up to Christmas is fantastic. The feeling I get inside is all warm and puts a great big smile on my face.

8. Ornaments - One of my favourite things to do each year is buy a new ornament for my tree and each year they bring out even better ones than the year before. I love ones that are really unique because they then stand out from the rest.

9. Mince Pies - Nothing beats a mince pie in the winter, its the only time I really eat them (because they aren't available the rest of the year) and when I do it reminds me of how much I actually love them

10. Irn Bru Snowman Advert - My favourite advert of all time is the Irn Bru Snowman advert, everyone says its not Christmas until you see the coca cola advert well not for me. The advert makes me so happy seeing Glasgow all ready for Christmas and makes me realise how much I actually love Christmas.

Hope you enjoyed reading, tell me below what's your favourite thing about Christmas?
